Levis Straus & Co.   (September 2009-June 2010)
Technical Consultant for Asia-Pacific / Trainer – As a member of AtKisson Group consulting team, SA was responsible for research, module development and training delivery of 10 virtual learning modules covering environmental sustainability topics for Levis Straus’s Asia-Pacific Social and Environmental Supply Chain team.  The overall training programme stressed a systems (holistic) approach to understanding sustainability challenges, and useful methods for addressing them strategically and practically. The materials are woven into a 10-session distance-learning program, requiring approximately 40 training hours to complete
 

Indonesia Business Sector Sustainability Planning, Assessment & Reporting  
(2007-October 2009)

Technical Consultant/ Training Team Leader - Over a 3-year period, SA worked in collaboration with our Indonesian partners, Yayasan Pembanguanan Berkelanjutan (YPB) / LEAD Indonesia, to assist six different Indonesian companies to build the capacity of their staff to take on roles and responsibilities as sustainability team, and to develop a holistic and integrative sustainability assessment, planning and reporting framework. The companies included in this project:
  • PT Antam tbk (Indonesia State-owned mining company)
  • Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper (Private company)
  • Indonesia Power (State-owned electricity power company)
  • Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Private company)
  • Losari Coffee Plantation Resort & Spa (Private 6-star report)
  • Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) (State-owned bank)

Toyota Japan   (May – June 2004)
Technical Consultant –  SA was a contributing member of an AtKisson Group team that conducted an overall assessment of 50 corporate sustainability reports, to assess the content and quality of those reports according to a set of criteria drawn from the AtKisson Compass Index methodology for assessing the sustainability of a company, city, or other entity. The main objective of the project was to assess the current state of corporate reporting against Compass Index standards, and attempt to “raise the bar” internationally on what constitutes good practice in sustainability reporting.
